Ángela Millano and Julián Pacomio
Ángela Millano (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1987), choreographer and performer, and Julián Pacomio (Mérida, 1986), artist and performer, have collaborated since 2017 in the research project Asleep Images, of which the performances PSYCHO and Make It, Don’t Fake it (2019) are a part. Millano’s stage work revolves around the body, its possibilities and its discourses, as well as the way in which it is understood, catalogued, managed and legislated in our society.
Can an individual person store, be, represent, and reproduce cinematic content?
Among her latest performances are the solos Hogar (2017) and Nunca llevo falda porque no sé cruzar las piernas (2016). Since 2018 she has worked with the artist Pablo Fidalgo in Anarquismos (Por el medio de la habitación corre un río más claro). For his part, Pacomio’s works for the stage investigate the idea of copying, remaking, translating and appropriating material not his own: El mundo bajo el mundo (2017), Espacio Hacedor (2016) in collaboration with the architect Miguel del Amo, and My Turin Horse (2012). Since 2016 he has been part of the live arts collective Bullshit, in addition to collaborating with the choreographers João Fiadeiro in From afar it was an Island, From close up, a stone and What to do with what remains, Luis Garay in Oro Lodo, and Annika Pannitto in The Third Table.
