\n\nOn a very cold winter afternoon, António and Jota return from the front with their friends in search of some ancient Roman baths. They joke with one another and wade through marshes while reminiscing about their last battle. The baths have reappeared after spending a long time submerged under a reservoir, and people of all ages flock there to spend the day. But there is something mysterious about these baths, as if the water influences the boys' moods, giving them the courage to say things they have never told anyone. As day turns into night, they confess their feelings and their fears of losing their best friend forever.

His work has been screened at festivals such as San Sebastián, Entrevues de Belfort, the Seville European Film Festival, Ficunam, Zinebi, Curtocircuíto, and Porto/Post/Doc. He is a member of the collective lacasinegra, whose work has been exhibited in contemporary art centers such as the CCCB (Barcelona), CentroCentro (Madrid), and the IVAM (Valencia). He complements his work as a director with other roles such as producer and consigliere (an artistic advisor who accompanies the director through all stages of production) on films like “Azor” (Andreas Fontana, premiered at Berlinale ’21), “H” (Carlos Pardo Ros, premiered at Visions du Réel ’22 and awarded at the Seville Festival ’22), or the short films “La sangre es blanca” (Óscar Vincentelli, awarded at FID Marseille ’21) and “Ella i jo” (Jaume Claret Muxart, premiered at the San Sebastián Festival ’20 and selected for the Rotterdam Festival ’21). He also works as a project tutor at ECAM and at the Spanish Film Academy Residencies. “Anoche conquisté Tebas” (Last Night I Conquered Thebes) is his first fiction feature film as a director.

\nEs un músico con proyección internacional, primero con los grupos Kortatu y Negu Gorriak, y después en solitario. Comenzó a producir documentales en 2006. Aquel año fundó la productora musical y cinematográfica TALKA RECORDS & FILMS, y en ella ha trabajado como director, guionista, productor y creador de bandas sonoras originales.
Ha recibido varios reconocimientos: en el Festival Amal de Galicia, al mejor documental, por su obra Checkpoint Rock; en el Festival In-Edit de Barcelona, al mejor documental, por la serie Next Music Station; una mención especial en el Krafta Doc International de Glasgow por el documental NOLA?; el premio a la mejor película de animación en el Festival Internacional de Monterrey, por la película Black is Beltza; y el premio al mejor diseño de sonido en los Premios Quirino de la Animación Iberoamericana, por la película anteriormente mencionada.

\n\nAs a child, Aniss attended Gnawa rituals, where dance, music, trance, and self-mutilation intertwined suffering with the sacred.
\nHis video practice offers an intimate glimpse into the Brotherhoods' imaginaries, proposing an affective and conceptual framework where the anguish and sorrow of the oppressed individual become an aesthetic force that paves the way for liberation.

She works as an editor, teacher and archivist. From an early age her training was in the field of arts and social sciences. She studied at the Escuela Nacional de Experimentación y Realización Cinematográfica (ENERC), in Buenos Aires, Argentina and more recently at the Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola, in Donostia, Basque Country.
\nAs an editor, she has participated in multiple documentary projects, as well as experimental projects in collaboration with contemporary Argentinean artists.
\nIn 2019 she founded a documentary filmmaking workshop, ‘La Paloma’ in a Penitentiary Unit in the province of Buenos Aires.
\nIn 2024 she carried out a Laboratory of memories and archives, in conjunction with the Malen Etxea Association, in Zumaia, as part of her TFM.
\nShe is also involved in Argentinean film research and preservation projects and is part of the research collective Operación Retorno.
