His field of research focuses on modern and contemporary art, critical pedagogies, and museum studies. He has served as director of La Virreina Centre de la Imatge and the Fundació Antoni Tàpies, and was Chief Curator at MACBA and Visiting Professor in Catalan Studies at New York University – Institut Ramon Llull. He has curated landmark exhibitions dedicated to artists such as Perejaume, Art &amp; Language, Bruno Serralongue, Ahlam Shibli, Allan Sekula, Susan Meiselas, Harun Farocki, Patricia Dauder, Ixone Sádaba, Clemente Bernad, and Oriol Vilanova, as well as projects like <em>1979: A Monument to Radical Moments</em> and <em>Antoni Tàpies: Political Biography</em>. His most recent project, centered on the Catalan psychiatrist Francesc Tosquelles, has been presented at Musée les Abattoirs, CCCB, Museo Reina Sofía, and the American Folk Art Museum. In 2025, he was appointed curator of the Spanish Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale with a project by Oriol Vilanova titled <em>The Remains</em>.
