Janire Arrizabalaga, Maialen Rekalde and Elene Mengyu are three young creators who graduated in Audiovisual Communication. \n\n

Degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of the Basque Country (2023). Internship at Consonni Editorial (Bilbao).
\nMaster’s Degree in Screenwriting from the Pontifical University of Salamanca (2025).
\nCourses at OFF ESCAC: Documentary creation and screenwriting taught by Almudena Carracedo (2025), and a short film writing workshop taught by Haritz Zubillaga (2025).

\n\n

At the end of 2024, selected for CIMA10 with a short film script titled Sillas, promoted by CIMA and Prime Video. In 2025, he directed Sillas, a short film premiered at Matadero Madrid. That same year, Sillas received the Universae Grand Prize at the 73rd edition of the San Sebastián International Film Festival (SSIFF) in the Made in Spain section.

\n\n

He has been a member of the Youth Jury at the San Sebastián International Film Festival in 2022, 2023, and 2025.

\n\n

In 2025, he won second place at Zinebi Express (Bilbao) with the short film Pisu Ederra. He was also responsible for the making-off of the series Tamara Ta Mara, produced by Begira Produkzioak for EITB.

I am Danel Garay, an artist studying for a doctorate whose work is focused on the technological, working with different mediums that range from installations to video art, sound art, and music. I always work with narratives that present different degrees of abstraction through experimentation with new technologies. I am always inspired by science fiction, with the themes that I touch on typically bearing a post-humanist aspect. 

\n\n

My aim is to create pieces that offer audiences new experiences and stir reflection at different levels of reading. Creating connections by producing dialogues between different agents like plants and computers, humans and AI, or living organisms and music is something I find interesting. 

\n\n

I am currently studying for a Doctorate in Contemporary Art, researching the field of Artificial Intelligence-produced art. It is an exciting field that provides many new forms of expression, which is why apart from researching and creating, I am quite interested in getting the word out about this field.

Laura Barquín is a filmmaker and graphic designer. She directed the short film Azpian (2026), selected for the Best Basque Short Film section at the FANT - Bilbao Fantasy Film Festival. In the field of design and illustration, she has worked for companies such as Forbes, One Star and Last Tour. In the audiovisual industry, she works as a video editor for Berde Produkzioak. She is also part of the organization of the Copernika Festival, dedicated to music video and video art in Bizkaia, where she works as both designer and organizer. The festival has already held four editions.
