Juliana França (São Paulo, Brazil, 1994) is an architect and visual artist. His professional practice is based on interdisciplinary experimentations that link architecture, art and critical materialistic research on a historical basis. His work focuses on the relationship between racialized dissident bodies and public spaces, everyday peripherals, anti-colonial concerns and struggles in the global wing, ecology and queer research. He has been a researcher in the Abdias Nascimento programme and has been awarded the Museu da Memória e Direitos Humanos do Rio Grande do Sul (2019, José Albano Volkmer Prize), Ametsa (2023, Klimametraje) and finalist of the Anovo Awards with the GRAF (2024). He is also an urban planner, a master's degree in art history and an anti-racism educator in independent projects dealing with migration and racism processes from Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
