Her practice is rooted in photography and film and extends into digital arts, with a focus on sociological and identity-related processes and on art as a tool for critical reflection and collective experimentation. She is a co-founder of the New Wave Art collective.</p><p>Her work has focused primarily on collaborative and community-based contexts. She has developed an audiovisual outreach project with the Oinarri Occupational Center (2026), participated in Mitofonías (2025), and in Entretejidos (2024), an artistic and community residency in Bilbao’s Barrios Altos neighborhood. Babesleku was selected in the Bilbao City Council’s Green Sormena call for proposals (2025); New Wave Art received the Haziak Award (2023); and Emakume Artisten Sarean received the Basque Government’s Erronka Globalen Antean Award (2023).</p><p>She has worked in cultural programming and outreach, and in 2025 she completed a fellowship in the Curatorial Department of the Solomon R.
