Generative Nature season
Is it possible to observe nature from inside a laboratory? Are machines related to natural processes? Can we replicate natural forms synthetically?
Over three months, this cycle will associate some of the Hirikilabs activities with the most creative and experimental use of technology and its potential application to various artistic, architectural and design practices.
The Mandelbrot sets, Haeckel’s observations, fractals and the observation of natural patterns such as the phases of the moon, among many others, have led to their application using code-based technological tools to the creation of results for visual, sound or stage creation. They also define some of the most experimental aspects applicable to the physical plane, using digital manufacturing tools and their application in the design phase in architecture, as with biomimetics or the need to experiment with new, more reactive or malleable materials.
