KSIatea 2020 – A project to support the internationalisation of cultural and creative industries

The aim of the project is to carry out up to 70 diagnoses of potential and 30 internationalisation plans for Basque organisations in the CCI sector. The call for applications will be open from today, 15 June, until 15 October.

We are announcing the launch of the second edition of KSIatea, the Internationalisation Programme for Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI), an initiative of the Department of Culture and Language Policy of the Basque Government and carried out by Tabakalera. The programme aims to help companies in the sector to establish their policies for opening up to new markets and customers in the context of internationalisation.

The project involves, first, the preparation and evaluation of diagnoses with the aim of assessing the potential for internationalisation, providing guidelines for possible access to the programmes and initiatives already established for Basque companies in general.

Second, through the aid platform for these companies, it will propose recommendations for better inclusion of Basque CCI companies in public policies to support the external promotion of the Basque Autonomous Community.

The objective is to carry out up to 70 diagnoses of potential for internationalisation and initiate up to 30 internationalisation plans before the end of 2020, so that the selected projects can be submitted to the CCI internationalisation support programmes already established in the BAC, both at the autonomous community level (Basque Trade and Investment) and at the territorial level (Provincial Councils). Using a methodology designed for the purpose in the processes of diagnosis, selection, training, and preparation of plans, the programme will produce an internationalisation plan with the selected companies.

The call for applications is open from 15 June and will consist of two plans that will offer different services to Basque organisations in the cultural and creative sector, all of them free of charge:

• An internationalisation diagnosis, through which to establish the potential of your association or foundation to tackle international markets (up to 20 selected associations and foundations).
