Sahatsa Jauregi

Sahatsa Jauregi Azkarate (Itaparica, Brazil, 1984) holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of the Basque Country. She has exhibited solo and as part of collective exhibits in venues including Espacio Abisal (Bilbao), Montehermoso (Vitoria-Gasteiz), Koldo Mitxelena (Donostia-San Sebastián) and Carreras Múgica (Bilbao). Her awards include the Gipuzkoa New Artists Programme (2013) and Ertibil (2017). She has taken part in artistic residencies in the Pacific Film Archive (Berkeley, California), the BilbaoArte Foundation (Bilbao) and consonni (Bilbao). She designed and organised the exhibitions titled Black Is Beltza (Azkuna Zentroa, Arts Santa Mònica and San Telmo Museum), Tirabirak (DSS2016) and Smoke Archivers (Tabakalera).
